mMFD – Mini Multifunction Display

The Wallis & Gill 2026 mMFD (mini Multifunction Display) is a compact touchscreen display designed to provide clear, efficient visualization of wind data in marine and environmental applications.

Its minimalist interface was consciously developed to maximize readability and usability within a small form factor, ensuring an excellent user experience even in demanding conditions.

The device features an integrated Wi-Fi network and web application, primarily used for backend configuration tasks such as data conversion and routing. This product description focuses on touchscreen operation and user interaction.

Touchscreen Navigation & Operation

Screens and widgets can be accessed using multiple intuitive interaction methods:

• Boot screen configuration
  Select the startup widget directly from the configuration screen (list located next to the Save button).

• Swipe navigation

  • Swipe left twice to move to the next screen

  • Swipe right twice to return to the previous screen

• Configuration access
  Switch between widget screens and the configuration screen at any time.

• Automatic mode
  Select widgets from the lower list in the configuration screen to enable automatic screen cycling.

Touch & Hold Control Zones

Touch-and-release actions vary depending on five defined screen areas:

• Top left: Enable / disable night mode

• Top right: Change bar graph time resolution
  (current resolution is displayed at the bottom left)

• Bottom right: Switch between configuration screen and startup widget

• Bottom left: Enable / disable automatic mode
  (indicator [A] appears at the top left)

• Center: Reduce brightness, then increase brightness

• Screen 1: Wind speed (knots) and wind angle

• Screen 2: Wind speed with minimum / average / maximum indicator dots

• Screen 3: Wind speed, wind angle, and wind history bar graph

• Screen 4: Wind speed minimum / average / maximum values
