The device includes an integrated Wi-Fi network and web application, primarily used for backend configuration such as data conversion and routing, while daily operation is handled directly via the touchscreen.

The Wallis & Gill Hummer Black Anemometer is a robust, high-precision cup anemometer engineered for continuous operation in harsh marine and environmental conditions.

The 2026 version features a lighter and more compact design, improved ceramic bearings, increased sensitivity to light winds, and a modular architecture that separates the sensor head from the electronics for easier installation and maintenance.

Field-proven reliability was demonstrated during five months of continuous operation aboard a high-sea fishing vessel in the South Atlantic, withstanding extreme weather and salt exposure.
